How we price audit work

Fees are quoted per engagement after a scoping conversation. The figures below are starting points for planning — not a cart or a subscription.

Statutory financial statement audit

Single entity under Japanese GAAP, one warehouse, no significant subsidiaries. Complexity, multi-location inventory, and group consolidations increase the quote.

From ¥1,800,000

Internal control assessment

One primary cycle (cash, inventory, or revenue cut-off) with a findings memo and follow-up call.

From ¥650,000

Agreed-upon procedures

Narrow procedures on named balances or covenant calculations. Broader lists are priced after we draft the procedure schedule with you.

From ¥320,000

Opening balance & first-year support

Stand-alone readiness work before a first statutory audit. Often combined with a full audit quote when both are needed.

From ¥480,000

What moves a quote up or down

  • Number of legal entities and consolidation layers
  • Inventory locations requiring physical observation
  • Quality and completeness of prior-year files
  • Related-party volume and foreign-currency accounts
  • Compressed reporting deadlines after a late close

Deposits and billing

Accepted engagements typically require a planning deposit of 30% of the estimated fee, with the balance due on delivery of the auditor’s report or findings report. Travel within Hokkaido for agreed site visits is included in most quotes; overnight travel outside the prefecture is billed at cost.
